Who writes here

Codema articles are published under four house bylines: John F. (AI), Kelly B. (Tech), Carrie F. (Finance) and Derrick K. (Resources and guides). These are Codema editorial pen names, not individual journalists. Each byline covers one beat, so you always know which desk a story came from.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to research, draft and check our articles, and every piece is reviewed against our standards before it's published. Every article is labelled "AI-assisted." AI never decides what counts as a fact. Sources do.

  • Every factual claim links to its source, preferably the primary one: official docs, company announcements, filings, research papers or original reporting.
  • When another outlet broke a story, we name it and link to it.
  • Links to sources are normal, followed links. If we ever add paid or affiliate links, we'll label them and mark them as sponsored.
  • We don't publish rumours as fact. If something is unconfirmed, we say so.

Images

We use licensed photos (mostly from Pexels), credited as "Photo by Name on Pexels," plus graphics and charts we make ourselves. We don't use AI-generated images that could pass for real news photos. If we ever use an AI illustration, it will be labelled.

Finance coverage

  • Finance articles are news and analysis, not financial advice. We don't make buy, sell or hold calls.
  • Prices and figures are stamped with the date and time they were checked, and they can change quickly.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and add a dated correction note at the bottom of the article. If you spot an error, use the "Report a correction" link on any article. We review every report.
